Keep in mind, on long, hot rides they don't keep liquids cold. They will keep them cool-ish, vs. warm/hot in a non-insulated bottle.

You wanna know how I know you've never used one?

Some of the other regular Podium bottles have a removable piece. Not sure about this.

I just use regular water. No mold.
Makes a good backup to a camelback on a hot day when the 1.5-2L isn't quite enough
I wish it was "$1" as some profess, but you won't be able to find the silicone nipple cap for this, furthermore the rest of the bottle. I personally won't ride off-road with frame mounted bottles that don't have a mouthpiece/nipple cap.
YMMV if you like the...mineral intake.
I have 3x of those and used a ton.
Oldest is over 5yo and holds fine with top-rack dish-washing.
Polar bottle brand is bit better insulated, but did not have a "dirt" cover version for the longest time, but I have ridden a lot with Camelbak top caps threaded on Polar bottles: threads and seals fine.
I prefer the flow of the nipple without the gray baffle piece that comes with it.
21oz is not a lot for hot climates / larger individuals, and I like to ride with at least one of those per hour of riding. I like having all my water on the bike, but if not, a waistpack with extra bottle holders is usefull.
Most FS MTBs will only fit one bottle, often not even 21oz, so do take some measurements / see what ppl with your frame have fitted before you order.
