We live in one of the snowiest cities in the US to where Paris is always warmer. I remember spending a sunny weekend in Paris in December, so Jan shouldn't be any worse.

Not a problem at all. KEF is a small airport and a lot of flights only have 50 minute transfer time. I have done it multiple times and still had time to get a snack.

That shouldn't be a problem. However, going to Paris in Jan is cold and most likely with snow so you will be limited in many ways exploring the place.

The layover between KEF · Reykjavík Keflavík Airport and CDG · Paris - Charles de Gaulle Airport is only 50 minutes. I highly doubt anyone if that's enough time to board the KEF-CDG flight.
