I don't have it, so I can't comment on this light but found a review online that rates it. The review doesn't test it being used underwater as a diving light but gives it good ratings as a flashlight. The run times at the three brightness levels look very impressive if the manufacturers claims for runtimes are accurate. For me, having a light I can take camping and not worrying about it getting wet is a big plus. I'll give this one a try.

I'm tempted. I don't night dive much anymore, but I like to have a light to look under ledges and in holes when I'm spearfishing. I have several old Princeton Tec and Ikelights but these new lights are so much brighter.

It's adjustable, down to 32 degrees. How narrow of a beam are you looking for?
Laser pointer…. But really maybe they don't know.
I don't care for adjustable beams because it never seems to be what I need when I turn it on no matter what. Really trying to resist another flashlight. Just got my last Sofirn order two days ago.
Yeah, even if the "diving" bit is just some marketing wank for their IPX8 rating, Sofirn lights have been VERY good to me. Seems like a solid deal for a water-resistant 21700 flashlight with Sofirn quality.

Yeah, I would hope a dive light handles ipx8, lol.

I think it is aimed at beginner divers who just want to dive at night with a hand cannon torch, and inadvertently blind everyone around them.

This review appears to be for a different light - the SD05. Whereas this deal is for the SD09. Not sure the difference though.

Secondly, the good angle is 8 to 10 degrees for scuba needs. It has penetration and the spot narrow enough to signal to the other divers.

I clicked out of curiosity and was ... enlightened.

Same!!! Lol
Just buy the sc33 and ts22 and call it quits. Those are the two standout models from each manufacturer
