For those of us that got a T-Mobile hotspot line for $10 a while back, is this a good device for that?
Aka are there any other popular devices around this price but also support 5 G?

Why don't you just use an unused phone to connect to an USB-C to Ethernet adapter then to a router? I have the $10 T-Mobile tablet plan too. But I don't think it's great for home Internet since there is only 6 Mbps for YouTube.

Will this work with the old ATT Mobley Unlimited plan? I'm using an MF923 Velocity hotspot and speeds/connections are terrible and always have been. Lately I've been thinking about upgrading. Not sure I'll see an improvement with this modem or not.
iwheela

Buy a Netgear M1100 (used) for $60 or M6 pro (refurbished) for ~$180 Ebay or Amazon to upgrade. Yes works fine. I still have 2 Mobley plans

I bought this, from this seller and it's been great
I put in a bid for $27 and it was accepted -- 5G and WIFI and blazing fast ( also pretty good is turning it off when not in use, power it back on and realize it still has lots of battery life) no sleep power drain going on with it
Recently I bought a GL.inet travel router, and plugged this in using tether option..
Worked very well, like better than I thought it would -- if there is really a complaint, I would say it gets hot when in use ( I offset this by using the GL.inet router to do WIFI and only use this to tether via wire)
I have seen others post this inseego, but it was way more expensive when I was looking a few months ago
