Yep, self-inflating pads are a thing. You open the valve and wait, then fully inflate with a few final blows.
Generally speaking, those are heavier and larger though.

Without a foam or fibrous interior an air-only mattress is much colder. Perhaps a good thing in summer but a definite no for cold weather.

I had a Slumberjack way back in the '90s that was self inflating. Now if only I could find something to set the entire campsite up for me...

I have an exped that self inflates but lets be honest. Its faster to use forced air.

I really like it so far, it's very small and very easy to inflate and deflate. I bought a few more so I can stack two of them to get R-Value 3.2, I guess that's how it works? Ha!

Does anyone know what's a good way to get a refund for the difference other than calling them? Their chat support doesn't seem to have any real agents.
