Been watching this 4060 ti 16gb from Cyberpowerpc as well, seems like this msi has more storage and more ram, but people say not to buy msi due to proprietary parts. In any case, imo that's not a big deal since people buy prebuilts specifically to avoid messing around inside lol.

Edit: I stand corrected! I had misremembered what I read on r/suggestapc which actually mentioned thermals and price.

What proprietary parts do you speak of? This is an MSI Prebuild. They tend to use off the shelf components as it's cheaper for them considering they produce the board themselves. Making a proprietary board would just add additional costs when they already have a line of boards they could use that are all standardized. My buddy just picked up one of these a couple of days ago for a really good price, floor model. I definitely would not recommend this pc at the MSRP price of $1299. But at the $850 he got it for, was a steal. It has a MSI B760 PRO VC Mobo, which unfortunately does not have VRM cooling which is braindead for a gaming machine, for office you'd be fine...But using it in a gaming machine is unfortunate. But the ram was Kingston Fury Modules, 650 watt gold rated high power psu, all standardized connections, Msi Ventus 2X gpu, etc. There is nothing proprietary about this machine...literally none. You will see that factor when you buy a Dell, HP, Acer, Alienware, etc...But not the case when you buy an MSI/Asus/Gigabyte prebuilt. Don't listen to all the bs people spout online, the mass majority do not know what they are talking about.

The 4060Ti with 16GB is an interesting addition, it offers almost no value to gammers, and a tone of value to those who want to enter in to AI development. That is double the VRAM of the standard 4060Ti. Not a bad buy if you start comparing what it would take to build this your self, you are probably saving close to $400 overall.

No value to gamers?

I thought the popular thing to do on
here was whine about how 8GB of vRAM isn't enough to play games these days?

How does a 4060Ti 16GB offer no value to gamers? My brother has this PC and runs Microsoft Flight Sim smoothly at relatively high settings, also in VR. He's actually using it to work on his pilot's license. It's one of the most graphically demanding games out there…

He also runs Rust at max settings at a frame rate similar to my 4080.

The ending price 0.97 means clearance at Costco so your YMMV if you can find 1 in stock. And if you are lucky some Costco might have it at a much lower price

The 4060ti has 8gb vram. This desktop has 16gb memory but the 4060ti has 8gb vram.

It says the system RAM is 32GB. The 16GB is specifically for the 4060Ti
