To be more specific about this (as it could create confusion for some), the micro-usb cable is used only for charging the power bank.

Will this work if I'm on T-Mobile?

Of course it will, as long as your particular phone itself is compatible. "Verizon" is the brand name for this package. Charging devices and cables are intended to be compatible with the phones themselves. The carrier that you're using for your service (T-mobile in this case) has no relevance.

I get that....but don't just assume that someone is stupid! They may be inexperienced and lack knowledge about these things. They see the name "Verizon" and make a wrong assumption. That's not being stupid (sorry to disappoint you)! You've been here long enough (much longer than me), and you should understand this by now (and not further confuse people).

It's also used for powering the wireless charging pad.

I bought this 2 weeks ago for $11.99 ($14.99 - $3.00) when Woot had the $3.00 off discount code. The wireless charging pad, USB power brick, and car charger are all extremely light and feel very cheap. But they work. The power bank feels ok though the pseudo-% power indicator LEDs are a bit cheesy as they could've used dots instead. The kit also comes with a longish USB micro cord for the wireless charging pad and a short Lightning cord for the power bank. It's Apple certified so hopefully the car charger and Lightning cable will work for a long time. Being Verizon branded I'm assuming this stuff is UL-listed (or equivalent), otherwise I'd throw it in the trash because it's that cheap.

For comparison I got an Insignia (Best Buy house brand) Lightning car charger last year on clearance and it feels much better built.

The only item in that kit that would require UL (or ETL) approval is the plug-in wall charger. There should be a UL or ETL mark on it. If not, use it at your own risk. You can't assume anything these days. Verizon doesn't produce this stuff. The manufacturer simply puts their name on it. It could be dollar store junk.
