Terrible really? It looks like the reviews ratings are very good. Are you sure?
I mean, I am just a random opinion on the internet, so hopefully you will enjoy it more than I did, if you try it. I was excited to play it, I just find it incredibly boring. Dialogue is cringy and nonsensical (a character will get horribly maimed and make jokes immediately after, sometimes they don't sound like they are even responding to each other, they see what is attacking them and constantly say "maybe it was just a bear"), most of the choices don't really feel like they matter and when they do - you have no way of knowing. At one point a character is standing on a dock, completely alone, and you have the choice of two actions. One of them instantly kills the character the other just ends the scene and moves on, but you have no reason to believe they would die with the one action.
It could be fun as a schlocky campfest, but the character movement is so slow and clunky and the story just slogs on and on, that its not even fun for that. And if you want to just replay some scenes, to see what difference the choices would make, you have to replay the entire game and you cant skip any of the talking scenes.
It just wasn't as fun as something like Until Dawn was.You could probably get a pretty similar experience just watching a youtube letsplay.
I loved it personally, but I enjoy all the games from Supermassive. For anyone to think this game was "terrible" they must not be a fan of these types of games, because in no way is this a terrible game. People love hating on these supermassive games, but for $10, this game is an absolute steal. I personally highly recommend it, especially at this price.

This game is part of the October Humble Bundle Monthly Bundle, along with some other games, for $13 if you play on PC at all. Also, this game is terrible.

I really liked this game. I guarantee that person gave up on the game before it picked up. It is super slow for the first few hours or so, but it gets good. You have to think of it like a movie. Horror movies are only an hour and a half to 2 hours, and not much usually happens for the first quarter of the movie, or sometimes halfway through. So, since this game is about 10-12 hours (if I remember correctly), you're looking at around 4 hours for it to really get going. Idk what people expected.
